Biopolis Dresden Imaging Platform

The Biopolis Dresden Imaging Platform constitutes a multi-institutional network of core imaging facilities and provides open access to state-of-the-art microscopy systems as well as image analysis. It offers a comprehensive range of imaging technologies coupled with the profound expertise of BioDIP staff to more than 550 users per year. The BioDIP establishment had been supported by the German Research Foundation (DFG).

Our central goal is facilitating research by providing advanced imaging equipment and services as well as technical and scientific user support throughout the entire research projects.

Accordingly, we are the central unit for imaging technologies within Biopolis Dresden and intend to join the EURO-BioImaging network.

DRESDEN-concept is the research alliance of the TU Dresden aiming at the development and use of synergies in research, education, infrastructure, and administration.

DRESDEN-concept partners co-ordinate strategies to support Dresden’s leading research disciplines and to attract top scientific talent to Dresden.

Since 2013, BioDIP is a project within the DRESDEN-concept that served as single legal entity during BioDIPs expression of interest to become a EURO-BioImaging node.
